In Montreal, street art is all over the place. The walls of almost every building are scrawled in the art style of whatever artist got there last.
Street art doesn't just make you think. It makes you remember. Remember that the world you live in is more than just yours. It also reminds you that there are deep thoughts and conscious awareness around every corner.
Street artists take what's theirs. It doesn't matter if you or anyone else thinks they don't have a voice. They have to pass the same buildings as everyone else everyday. Instead of contributing to society with cookie cutter jobs and pushing forward the construction of a more efficient society, they wait for the buildings to be built and then transform them into monuments that represent the thoughts held in the hearts and minds of people like them, living at that moment.
These photos and more like them can be found in the Montreal Street Art group on flickr.
