The Baked Life Tolerance Break Challenge From 3/20 to 4/20

On April 20th of this year potheads everywhere will once again celebrate by smoking weed all day. This year Baked Life is encouraging a few dedicated smokers to get a one month jump start on the holiday, but not in the way you'd expect.

This year 4/20 starts one month earlier at Baked Life. Starting 3/20 we are challenging as many stoners who can handle it, to take a one month "tolerance break" from pot.

A "Tolerance Break" is when a person who smoke weed frequently takes some time off smoking weed. This makes the weed they smoke after the break feel more potent.

Tolerance breaks are controversial in the pot community. Some defensive tokers feel like the idea of a tolerance break insinuates that they have a problem with pot, or that pot is something bad that they shouldn't be doing. Likewise, some marijuana legalization opponents will try to convince people that if you need breaks from pot, that is proof that it's harmful. Both perspectives miss the point.

A tolerance break is a way of showing respect for marijuana. For those who smoke frequently even a break of a few days is a reminder of why pot is amazing. 3/20 to 4/20 is going to be 31 days of marijuana appreciation. Not everyone will be able to take a break for the full 31 days, but stoners everywhere should take the time to think about what pot does for them.

Science proves that there are rewards for taking breaks from marijuana. Weed takes a full month to completely leave your system. At that point your brain get's used to being pot free, and your neurotransmitters are regulated by only your own cannabinoids again. Thusly, smoking weed after a break will have a noticebly stronger affect.
