This is the first Baking recipe to be featured on The High Dieter. And while I know that all of you like to get baked, I don’t know how many of you actually bake. That being said, I’m not too concerned – this recipe is easy enough for a beginner – although if this is your first time baking, I would urge you to do the baking before you get baked – otherwise, you might end up baking yourself…
Now that we’ve got our disclaimer out of the way – let’s dive into why The High Dieter loves Half Baked Blueberry Oatmeal Squares.
Why We Like This:
First off – baking is fun. Beyond that, these squares are not only healthy, but they’re also delicious, very easy to make, and long lasting – a batch can last you an entire week . And with ingredients like Oatmeal and Blueberries, you’re not only getting the fiber you need to keep you full, but also the vitamins and antioxidants you need to stay healthy!
Contrary to our title (and our never ending quest to be as punny as possible), there is nothing half baked about this recipe – that is, you can’t get by with your old EZ Bake Oven – these Squares are fully baked. You’ll also need an 8 x 8 inch baking pan.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and cover your baking pan with a layer of Pam Baking Spray. Put all of your ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix until everything is combined – pour your batter into your pan and bake for 20 minutes – then remove from pan.
You should allow about 5 minutes for cooling before you eat – just enough time to get baked yourself – then enjoy!
