Reefer Movie Madness - Book Review

Reefer Movie Madness: The Ultimate Stoner Film Guide does not fall short of it's title. This book is packed with 420 movie descriptions. Steven Bloom ( from and Pot Culture, the book) and Shirley Halperin critique and describe these movies specifically for a stoner audience.

Not all of the movie's have pot in them, like Ferris Bueller's Day Off or Tropic Thunder. But they make sure and get every stoner movie under the sun in there, and they fill their synopsis' with comments straight out of the stoner train of thought. For instance in their review of "The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down", the author says "C'mon, who smokes shwag in Los Angeles".

This book has it all from Cult Classics like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro) and Trainspotting (Ewan Mcgregor), to indie greats like Lost in Translation (Bill Murray and Scarlette Johansen) and Brick (Inception Star Joseph Gordon Levitt).

They've got all the stoner flicks too, How High, Pineapple Express, and Up in Smoke are just a few. Every now and then you'll also come across some Q&A's with famous stoner icons, like Cheech and Chong, Doug Benson, and Andy Milonakis; to name a few. What more could a stoner movie buff ask for. It's also a great Netflix companion.
