Bob Marley's Daughter Pleads Guilty to Growing Marijuana

Bob Marley's daughter, Makeda, pleads guilty to growing marijuana. It's both ironic and unsettling at the same time.

Makeda Jahnesta Marley is the youngest daughter of the word famous Reggae legend, Bob Marely. Today she's 29 and standing against charges of growing marijuana. Police found around a dozen marijuana plants on her property in Philadelphia.

She is due to be sentenced in October, and I'm sure much of the pot community will be sitting on edge, hoping the sentence is a light one. The laws against marijuana are a joke, but the affect they have on the lives of real people is often tragic.

The prosecutor on the case withdrew the mandatory one year sentence in exchange for Makeda Marley's guilty plea. It is likely she will just receive probation.
