Mazar - Baked Life's Strain Encyclopedia - Indica
Mazar is a marijuana strain produced from a cross of an Afghan and Skunk plant. It's middle eastern heritage is proudly proclaimed in it's name; Mazar-i-Sharif is a tomb in a city in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is the origin of the Indica plant so it's fitting that Mazar is 100 % Indica.
The bud has two types of leaves. The first type is a very long and broad dark green leaf. The second is a short and stubby light grean leaf. Both are covered in crystals from base to tip. Mazar also has very thin orange hairs, stranding out from grouped clumps.
Mazar owon the 2nd prize in the 1999 High Times Cannabis cup. It gained prestige for it's improved taste relative to previous varieties. It's flavor and smell are both a mixture of sweet and hash. It supplies an unexpectedly energetic high, unlike most Indicas. Great for medium tempo activities. Mazar isn't too flashy but it's a really solid and consistent strain, worthy of any tokers lungs.
